Zimek Distillery was established in 1997 by Roland Zimek and his wife Martina. Since December 2005 Zimek Pálinka Distillery operates on the south part of the Balaton Lake and use the finest fruit varieties that primarily grow in the Balaton Basin. 

The products of the Zimek Pálinka Distillery are 100% free of added sugar, artificial or natural added flavors or coloring. 100% fruit and crystal clear water only. 

Zimek gained many recognitions in the last 15 years among Pálinka-loving consumers and professional industry experts. The distillery was awarded several outstanding results in national and international competitions during this period. Zimek won the National Hungarian Championship three times (2006, 2007, 2010) and became the best Hungarian Distillery in the Destillata International Spirit Championship two times (2007, 2010). 

In 2016 the company has changed ownership and management and they continued to produce the highest quality. In three consecutive years under the new management (2018-2019-2020) Zimek finished as one of Top 3 distilleries of the National Hungarian Championship.
