Szicsek Classic Pomace
Szicsek Distillery Szolnok County Region
Pomace pálinka is made by the distillation of grape marc left after the production of wine. Interestingly, pomace pálinka is the oldest type of pálinka. It has been drank for centuries after heavy meals as a digestive. First records of pomace pálinka making date back to the 15th century and by the 17th century its distillate was already so widespread and popular in Hungary that it had to be regulated by law. Szicsek's classic but unique pálinka is made from the pomace produced after pressing the high-quality grapes grown in the Tokaj-Hegyalja Region, and these grapes provide a full-bodied, spicy, deep-acting taste, yet with fresh grape notes. Szicsek Classic Pomace pálinka reflects the world of Tokaj Wine Region in the world of pálinkas.

Tasting notes
Szicsek Classic Pomace pálinka has a waxy honey scent while spiced with a delicious bitterness of the peel and seed. It also shows a beautifully spicy roasted walnut-hazelnut character. The waxiness and distinctively pleasant nutty character provides the Tokaj grapes their unmistakable intense character.
